Abstract
Provided is a method of manufacturing a sealant for a tire that can ensure good sealing properties even when a general-purpose rubber is used. In manufacturing a sealant for a tire by vulcanizing a sealant composition containing diene rubber as a main component of a rubber component, a vulcanization step of vulcanizing a sealant composition that is unvulcanized and a cutting step of cutting a rubber molecule in the rubber component by kneading at least the rubber component of components of the sealant composition that is unvulcanized at a temperature of 120°C or higher are performed. The cutting step is performed before the vulcanization step and/or simultaneously with the vulcanization step.
