Abstract

A redundancy system for a vehicle door lock. The redundancy system comprises a body attached to a vehicle body structure of a vehicle and a striker releasably connected to the body. An outer end of the striker is configured for interacting with a locking unit of a vehicle door for releasably connecting the vehicle door to the vehicle body structure. The body comprises a passage for receiving an inner end of the striker. The inner end of the striker is extending through a structural part of the vehicle body structure from an outer side of the structural part to an inner side of the structural part when connected to the body.
