Abstract

According to one embodiment, a communication network arrangement is described comprising a plurality of access control components, wherein each access control component is connected to at least one base station and configured to exchange session management signalling information and mobility management information related to a mobile terminal connected to the communication network via the at least one base station with the at least one base station, a session management component, wherein each access control component is configured to forward session management information related to a mobile terminal connected to the communication network via the at least one base station received from the at least one base station to the session management component and a mobility management component wherein each access control component is configured to forward mobility management information related to a mobile terminal connected to the communication network via the at least one base station received from the at least one base station to the mobility management component.
