Abstract

The device (10) has enhanced human activity recognition. The device comprises a processing unit (16) configured to detect a human activity using one more motion sensors (12), and enhances the detected human activity depending on whether the device is in an indoor environment or an outdoor environment. The processing unit (16) utilizes one or more electrostatic charge sensors (14) so as to determine whether the device is in an indoor environment or an outdoor environment.
