Abstract

The invention relates to a heavy-duty vehicle maintenance tool (100) applicable to mount or remove a component from a gearbox, which tool has a cylindrical shape with a predetermined extension along a central axis (X). The tool further comprising a cylindrical wall (101) enclosing an inner cylindrical cavity (102) and connecting an open first end (103) and a closed second end (104). The tool has a first end (103) arranged to be placed in contact with a corresponding surface on a component to be mounted and a second end (104) arranged to be subjected to an external force in order to mount or remove the component. The second end (104) comprises an internal reinforcing lattice structure (110) within the cavity (102). The tool is a lightweight, one-piece thermoplastic component and is produced using an additive manufacturing process.
