Abstract

The present invention relates to a method for selecting data-packages (1) received by a host-device (2), the method comprising the following steps:a. the host-device (2) receiving a number of N data-packages (1),b. for each data-package (1) of the N data-packages (1): calculating a prioritized data-package parameter,c. optionally: for each of the N data-packages (1) determining a priority rank based on the prioritized data-package parameters,d. sorting the data-packages (1) according to a predetermined sorting-scheme considering the prioritized data-package parameters or optionally the priority ranks,e. down-selecting a number of M data-packages (1) from the N data-packages (1), wherein M < N,f. processing one or more of the down-selected data-packages (1).With such a method the hard- and software requirements of the host-device (2) may be reduced due to a reduced computational complexity provided with the suggested method. Additionally, the invention relates to a system for executing said method.
