Abstract

An object of the present invention is to prevent unintended acceleration. A driving assistance device for a vehicle according to the present invention includes an abnormal acceleration element detection unit configured to detect whether an event that may cause unintended acceleration is occurring and a restriction unit configured to restrict a drive torque up amount when an execution condition gave priority to executing drive torque up by a drive torque up control priority unit is satisfied, and when it is detected by the abnormal acceleration element detection unit that the event that may cause the unintended acceleration is occurring.
