Abstract

The present invention relates to a system of a channel monitoring in a HF frequency range, the system comprising: at least one channel monitoring device comprising an input terminal for receiving a RF signal wherein the channel monitoring device is configured to receive the RF signal, to monitor simultaneously a plurality of channels of the received RF signal that are existing in a target frequency range, to detect an incoming signal on at least one target channel in the target frequency range and to generate a control signal indicating the at least one target channel when the incoming signal is detected; and at least one radio device which is coupled to the channel monitoring device, wherein the radio device is configured to receive via its input terminal the control signal generated by the channel monitoring device and to listen to the at least one indicated target channel to receive subsequent RF signals of the incoming signal, when the control signal is received, wherein a transmission interface for connecting the at least one channel monitoring device with the at least one radio device which is configured to transmit the control signal to the radio device using a software radio protocol.
