Abstract

An energy generation module, comprising pressure transducer with at least one pressure-to-displacement converter (300) having a cavity (310) confined with a membrane (303) susceptible to deformation under pressure difference between fluid inside and outside the cavity (310), and at least one piezoelectric element mechanically coupled with the at least one pressure-to-displacement converter (300) for converting energy resulting from the movement caused by deformation of membrane to electrical energy, according to the invention further has electrical energy storage means connected to piezoelectric element, the cavity closed with membrane is airtight. The membrane is selected so that the pressure difference corresponds to range of daily atmospheric pressure changes. Piezoelectric element is coupled with a mechanical energy storage means accumulating mechanical energy of move of the membrane resulting from daily pressure changes. Piezoelectric element comprises plurality of spatially distributed piezoelectric elongated memberss engageable with at the least one pressure-to-displacement converter so that energy is released when pressure change since previous release exceeds predetermined value falling within a range (30 Pa, 80 Pa). The invention also concerns method of energy harvesting with module according to the invention.
