Abstract

The present invention relates to a method for manufacturing an annular drive belt, comprising: providing a belt back layer; pre-cutting the belt back layer to form an annular belt back sleeve; forming a cord layer on the belt back sleeve; forming a profile layer on the cord layer, to obtain a belt blank; vulcanizing the belt blank; wherein, in the process of pre-cutting and forming, pressure is applied by means of a cutter to cut the belt back layer at a fixed length, a tip of the cutter having an oblique blade face extending from a top end of the tip to a base of the tip, a tip working thickness of the base of the tip corresponding to the oblique blade face being 1.8 mm - 3.6 mm, the oblique blade face facing toward the belt back sleeve and forming an angle of 10° - 55° with a surface of the belt back layer at a cutting position, such that the belt back layer is joined by a gapless butt joint to form the belt back sleeve. The present invention also relates to an annular drive belt obtained in this way, wherein the belt back layer has a butt joint in the circumferential direction of the annular drive belt, and the joint is turned up from a belt back face. The present invention reduces the belt back noise of the drive belt, and improves the drive belt production efficiency.
