Abstract
A computer-implemented planar object tracking method for tracking objects between a first image and a second image, the method comprising steps of: (S 10) dense estimation of optical flow correspondences between the first image and the second image based on features extracted from the first image and from the second image; (S20) assignation of weights to the optical flow correspondences, wherein the weight of each optical flow correspondence is calculated to characterize a reliability of the estimation of the optical flow correspondence; (S30) planar homography calculation between the first image and the second image based on the optical flow correspondences, wherein optical flow correspondences are taken into account differently in the calculation based on the weights.
