Abstract
Method for operating a query processing engine, comprising the steps of:- identifying for the query processing engine query related performance criteria that can reduce the efficiency of the query processing engine,- creating a look up table listing the identified efficiency reducing query related performance criteria,- entering a first query in the query processing engine,- evaluating the first query to identify query related performance criteria of the first query,- comparing the identified query related performance criteria of the first query with the entries in the look up table, and- terminating the first query if the first query reproduces one or more efficiency reducing query related performance criteria as listed in the look up table.
