Abstract

According to one embodiment, a radio access network component is described including a receiver configured to receive an information from another component of the communication system, wherein the information indicates whether a notification about clock quality information has been sent to a mobile terminal and, if a notification about the clock quality information has been sent to the mobile terminal, an identification of the notification about clock quality information that was sent to the mobile terminal, a controller configured to determine whether the information indicates that a notification about the same clock quality information as a notification sent by the radio access network component was sent to the mobile terminal and a core network interface configured to, if the information does not indicate that a notification about the same clock quality information as a notification sent by the radio access network component was sent to the mobile terminal, notify a core network component of the communication system that a notification about clock quality information has been sent to the mobile terminal.
