Abstract

According to one embodiment, a test management component of a communication system is provided comprising a test input interface configured to receive a request for a test to be performed in the communication system and a specification of the test, a processing unit configured to determine, according to the specification of the test, a plurality of communication network components of the communication system which need to be involved in the test to perform the test, for each communication network component a respective test controller which is able to manage the communication network component with respect to testing and for each determined test controller a specification of a sub-test to be performed by the test controller and a test control interface configured to send, for each determined test controller, the determined specification of the sub-test to be performed by the test controller to the test controller.
