Abstract
A battery system (10) includes a first battery (12), a second battery (14), a first charging inlet (16), a charger (20), and an electric circuit (24). The electric circuit (24) is configured to be able to selectively establish one of a plurality of circuit structures including at least a first charging circuit structure and a first balancing circuit structure by selectively turning the plurality of switches (24a, 24b, 24c, 24d, 24e, 24f, 24g, 24h) on and off. In the first charging circuit structure, the first charging inlet (16) is electrically connected to a first end (21) of the charger (20) while the first battery (12) and the second battery (14) are electrically connected to a second end (22) of the charger (20). In the first balancing circuit structure, the first battery (12) is electrically connected to the first end (21) of the charger (20) while the second battery (14) is electrically connected to the second end (22) of the charger (20).
