Abstract

The disclosure relates to a method for checking (100) a machined ophthalmic device and/or a machined mold for making an ophthalmic device obtained thanks to a machining system, comprising:- obtaining (101) initial data from the machined ophthalmic device and/or the machined mold, measured in a first predetermined referential, the data obtained being representative of a determined reproductible defect generated on the machined ophthalmic device and/or on the machined mold;- determining (102) a second referential depending on the determined reproductible defect;- manipulating (103) the initial data from the first predetermined referential to the determined second referential in order to obtain transformed data;- deducing (104) from the transformed data a defect value representative of the determined reproductible defect and generated on the machined ophthalmic device and/or on the machined mold.
