Abstract
The present invention concerns a heat pump system and method of controlling said system which does not require the complete shutdown of said system should refrigerant be detected inside the heat medium circuit. In particular, the invention relates to the identification and operation of the system within a safety threshold for heat medium flow, which safety threshold is commensurate with the capability of the system to cope with the leaked refrigerant.
