Abstract

A ball-joint assembly (34, 36, 38) of a crank (30, 32) and a connecting rod (26, 28), comprising a crankpin (40) fixed to the crank (30, 32) and a socket (58) secured to the connecting rod (26, 28), characterized in that a spherical portion of the crankpin (70) comprises a lateral flat (48) and in that the socket (58) comprises a lower axial end (74 ) which comprises on the one hand an opening (76) for the passage of the crankpin (40) in the internal cavity (70), and on the other hand an obstruction wall (78) extending a peripheral edge (77) delimiting the opening (76) of said lower axial end (74), the obstruction wall (78) extending through the opening (76) to form a reduced passage section for maintaining the crankpin (40) in the internal cavity ( 70) of the socket (58).
