Abstract

A baking oven comprises a muffle with muffle walls, an opening to the muffle and a door for closing it. Several heating devices are arranged in the muffle, wherein a power supply for them is provided. A baking oven control is connected to the power supply for controlling the heating device and for evaluating their functional state is provided. The baking oven has mechanical drive means, which have an electric drive or a motor and an output connection having a coupling device for a force-transmitting mechanical or magnetic connection to a movement device in the muffle. The movement device can preferably be a cooking vessel with a flexible shaft as force-transmitting connection. The coupling device is accessible at least from the muffle or projects into the muffle. The baking oven control is connected to the mechanical drive means or to the electrical drive for controlling the same.
