Abstract

A temperature estimation system includes measurement wave determination means configured to determine a measurement wave for estimation of a temperature inside a motor, measurement wave superimposition means configured to superimpose the determined measurement wave on a waveform indicated in instruction data for driving the motor, current and voltage obtaining means configured to obtain a current value and a voltage value of the motor while the waveform on which the measurement wave is superimposed is outputted to the motor, filtering means configured to subject the obtained current value and voltage value to frequency filtering, resistance value calculation means configured to calculate a resistance value inside the motor based on the frequency-filtered current value and voltage value, and temperature estimation means configured to estimate the temperature inside the motor based on the calculated resistance value. The filtering means is configured to change a calculation equation to be used for the frequency filtering to a calculation equation lowered in calculation load, based on at least one of load imposed on a processor that performs processing for the filtering means or the estimated temperature.
