Abstract
Tobacco industry apparatus (1) for manufacture of tobacco industry rods comprising:: a feeding unit (2) arranged to feed a continuous strand of filling material (3), a pre-compacting unit (4) arranged to compact the continuous strand of filling material (3), a unit (8) for inserting objects into a formed continuous rod (CR), a forming unit (5) arranged to form the continuous rod (CR) from the continuous strand of filling material (3) on a conveyor belt (34), a cutting head (11) arranged to cut the continuous rod (CR) into rods (R) of a predetermined length, characterised by further having a separating element (20) arranged to separate the continuous strand of filling material (3) from the inserting unit (8) and situated in the area for inserting the objects (13) into the formed continuous rod (CR).
