Abstract

The present invention relates to an in-home apparatus (200) and to a remote patient monitoring system (10). The in-home apparatus (200) comprises a device (210) having a light reflecting area, a camera (204), a first communication interface (202) configured to connect the apparatus (200) to a telecommunication network (800) for communicating with an external computing system (300), a display (207) having a touch screen functionality, a microphone (205) and a speaker (206, a processing unit (211) configureda) to cause the apparatus (200) to collect patient related data including image data captured by the camera (204), and/or vital sign data provided by at least one vital sign sensor device (900, 910) configured to detect vital signs of the patient and to generate vital sign data, and/or communication data input by the patient via the display (207) and/or the microphone (205), andb) to cause the apparatus (200) to deliver the collected patient related data to the first communication interface (202) for transmitting them to the external computing system (300).
