Abstract

The method comprises: - a step of application of a mechanical brake to fix the sun gear (20) in position, - a step of application of an alternating torque on the rotor (16), - a step of measuring an angular displacement of the rotor (16) versus the stator (14), and - a step of translating the measured angular displacement of the rotor (16) into a wear value of the involute spline.
