Abstract

The invention relates to a connector assembly that includes a housing and a U-shaped mate assist device. This device comprises two arms that can be connected. Each arm has one or more locking elements designed to engage with matching locking elements on the other arm, creating e.g. a form-locked connection. Additionally, these locking elements are positioned on an interlocking portion of each arm in such a way that they can interlock in at least two different positions. This feature allows the width of the U-shaped mate assist device to be adjusted as needed.
