Abstract

The technical solution according to the invention, involves the insertion and technological implementation of a new and innovative functional block called Modulation Block, in the structure - known in itself - of reaction flowmeters, in order to generalize and make the application more flexible, for measuring a range of flow values expressed by a extended range of turndown values. The reference block represented by the inletconnection (1) ensures the constant value of the reference value XR = A1 , where A1 is the exit area from (BR), implicitly also the inlet area into the reaction tube (2) of the Modulated Reaction Element (ERM), related to the Sensitive Block (BS) which together with the Reference Block (BR), builts up the Primary Element (EP) of the flowmeter. The invention changes the role of the outlet nozzle of the modulated reaction element (ERM), transforming it into a nozzle with a variable area, by introducing the element, called Modulator (M), made in two versions, respectively "inner Modulator" and "outer Modulator", which performs the function of the Modulation Block (BM) together with a Pair Part (PP). The Modulator (M) ensures, when the flow varies, a variation of the area of the outlet nozzle of the reaction element in the form of a circular crown, which determines a modulated dependence between the reaction force and the measured flow rate, under the conditions of realization by means of a Balancing Block of the Reaction Moment (BEMMR) aimed at measuring the moment of the reaction force and balancing the opposite moment by a moment transducer, through a proportional angular rotation of its sensitive element (ES), implicitly determining the angular position depending on a modulated manner related to the measured flow rate, of the reaction element (ER). The method, according to the invention, provides for the steps of modulating the dependence between the force exerted on the modulated reaction element (ER) of a flowmeter in relation to the measured flow, which in a first stage presents the steps of realizing and implementing the A Modulation based on a single modulation curve, and in a second stage, intended for the situation in which, for the first stage use, the target value of the turndown was not achieved, is ensured a combined modulation by an aditional B Modulation curve, with A Modulation curve,
