Abstract

There is discloseda straddled vehicle (1) including an engine (11), a continuously variable transmission (21), an electric motor (31), and a controller (40). The engine (11) generates power; the continuously variable transmission (21) transmitting power of the engine (11) to a rear wheel (5); the electric motor (31) changing a shift position of the continuously variable transmission (21); the controller (40) controlling the electric motor (31); when the controller (40) changes from a non-power-supply state to a power-supply state, the controller (40) controls the electric motor (31) to make a shift speed of the shift position equal to or less than a first speed (V1); the first speed (V1) being smaller than a maximum value (M) of the shift speed.
