Abstract
A method to create usage history data for a power tool comprising the steps of: providing time information by a real time clock of a first battery; transferring the time information from the first battery to the power tool, when the first battery is attached to the power tool; creating usage history data by the power tool, using the time information from the battery and usage information from the power tool; and storing the usage history data on the power tool.
