Abstract

In order to provide a drug package separating apparatus that individually separates drug packages from a drug packaging strip in which the drug packages are connected in a band shape, provided is a drug package separating apparatus (1), which is configured to individually separate drug packages (110) from a drug packaging strip (120) in which the drug packages (110) are connected in a band shape. The drug package separating apparatus includes: a pair of abutment portions (51a, 51b) that are brought into contact with the same surface of the drug packaging strip (120); an abutment piece (35, 36) having one of the abutment portions (51a, 51b); and pressing means for pressing the abutment piece (35, 36) against the drug packaging strip (120). A force with which the pressing means presses the abutment piece (35) causes the abutment piece (35, 36) to move or change a posture of the abutment piece (35, 36) so that a distance between the abutment portions (51a, 51b) is increased.
