Abstract
This compression system comprises: a casing; a compressor including a first compression unit that is provided in the casing, that generates an intermediate-pressure refrigerant by compressing a low-pressure refrigerant supplied from outside, and that discharges the intermediate-pressure refrigerant into the casing, and a second compression unit that is provided in the casing, that is set to have a smaller displacement amount than the first compression unit, and that further compresses the intermediate-pressure refrigerant in the casing to generate a high-pressure refrigerant; an evaporator that evaporates the refrigerant that has passed through the compressor, a suction pipe that supplies the low-pressure refrigerant that has passed through the evaporator into the casing; a discharge pipe that discharges the high-pressure refrigerant to the outside of the casing; a bypass pipe that returns the intermediate-pressure refrigerant in the casing to the suction pipe between the evaporator and the first compression unit; and a valve that is provided to the bypass pipe.
