Abstract
In a preparation stage before starting to manufacture pellets, variation in a diameter of a strand is suppressed. A pellet manufacturing apparatus 10 includes an extrusion unit 20, a gripping unit 42, a moving unit 50, and a strand cutter 56. The extrusion unit 20 extrudes a molten resin R as a string-like strand S. The gripping unit 42 grips the strand S extruded from the extrusion unit 20. The moving unit 50 moves the gripping unit 42. The strand cutter 56 cuts the strand S conveyed by the movement of the gripping unit 42.
