Abstract

An electric powertrain (200) for a vehicle, comprising an electric machine (10), a transmission (220), and at least one drive shaft (90L), the transmission comprising: - first and second planetary gear systems (250, 260), wherein at least one of a second sun gear (261) and a second ring gear (264) is rotationally connected or connectable to a first planet gear carrier (252), - a primary reduction gear set (230) drivingly connecting the electric machine to the first planetary gear system, one of the first and second planetary gear systems (250) being shiftable to any one of two reducing gear states, and the other one of the first and second planetary gear systems (260) being shiftable to any one of a gear state with a direct gear ratio and a reducing gear state, a primary reduction gearwheel (232) and the planetary gear systems being coaxial with the drive shaft.
