Abstract

An electrophotographic photoreceptor includes a conductive substrate, a charge generation layer that is disposed on the conductive substrate, a charge transport layer that is disposed on the charge generation layer, and an inorganic protective layer that is disposed on the charge transport layer, in which a capacitance (X1) of the charge transport layer per unit area is 0.90 × 10<-6> (F/m<2>) or more and 1.90 × 10<-6> (F/m<2>) or less, and a capacitance (X2) of the inorganic protective layer per unit area is 2.40 × 10<-5> (F/m<2>) or more and 1.10 × 10<-4> (F/m<2>) or less.
