Abstract
Obtaining an electric machine comprising concentrically arranged stator and rotor with a computer-implemented prediction of an Eigenfrequency for each of sets of specifications representing material and geometry options for the stator, including- solving the Eigenvalue problem with a finite element solver, an input of which includes a mass matrix and a stiffness matrix, the stiffness matrix comprising equivalent material parameters of a laminar 3D structure with a sub-structure periodically occurring with periodicity around a central axis in the 3D structure from a laminar element with repeated occurrence of the laminar element along the central axis, and elements/tuples- relating an average or an interpolation of coefficients of deformation within constraints to volume portions of the 3D structure to provide representative volume elements and- computed with the periodicity and model order reduction with proper orthogonal decomposition on tuples representing the sub-structure.
