Abstract

A method for providing sound reduction of a vehicle component being a sound emitting source (12, 22, 122), the method comprising: providing (S10) a first sound insulation module (110) composed of a first material (M1) and having a first thickness (Th1) for achieving a first sound-reducing capability with regards to sound level (dB) and frequency (Hz) of the emitted sound, and a second sound insulation module (112) composed of a second material (M2) and a having second thickness (Th2) for achieving a second sound-reducing capability with regards to sound level (dB) and frequency (Hz) of the emitted sound; attaching (S40) the first and second sound insulation modules (110, 112) onto the attachment structure (105) of the carrier (101) such that a first portion (101a) of the carrier (101) is provided with the first sound insulation module (110) and a second portion (101b) of the carrier (101) is provided with the second sound insulation module (112).
