Abstract
A method includes detecting, when a headset device is in a sensor lock engaged state, using a trusted software module of the headset device, a user presence event. An embodiment includes transitioning, using the trusted software module of the headset device, the headset device from the sensor lock engaged state to a sensor lock disengaged state, the transitioning comprising providing power to a privacy sensitive sensor of the headset device and powering on an indicator light of the headset device. An embodiment includes transitioning, using the trusted software module of the headset device, the headset device from the sensor lock disengaged state to the sensor lock engaged state, the transitioning comprising removing power from the privacy sensitive sensor of the headset device and powering off the indicator light of the headset device. Systems and computer programs for performing the method are described.
