Abstract

An apparatus for displaying a volume level in real time while a microphone picks up an audio signal is provided. The apparatus includes a first stage amplifier amplifying an audio input signal into a first amplified signal, and a second stage amplifier amplifying the first amplified signal into a second amplified signal. The apparatus further includes a volume detection module comparing the first amplified signal and the second amplified signal with a volume display threshold to determine a volume level to be displayed, and a volume display unit displays the volume level in real time. A method for displaying a volume level in real time while a microphone picks up an audio signal is also provided.
