Abstract

Disclosed are a method and an apparatus for setting up and maintaining a session in an ultra-wideband wireless network system. A method performed by a first device in an ultra-wideband (UWB) wireless network system according to an embodiment of the present disclosure may comprise the steps of: transmitting an advertising poll frame to a second device; receiving an advertising response frame from the second device; and transmitting a start-of-ranging (SOR) frame to the second device. On the basis that the advertising response frame is a public advertising response frame, the public advertising response frame may include a responder address which is a public address randomly generated by the second device.
