Abstract
A torque distribution gearing (2) for a vehicle is configured to distribute a torque of an input shaft between a first and a second output shaft. The torque distribution gearing comprises a rotating element (10), a housing accommodating the rotating element and a lubrication system (3) for collecting lubricant churned by the rotating element as it rotates so as to change a lubricant level in the housing from a first lubricant level (61) to a second lubricant level (62). The first lubricant level is a lubricant level at which a lubricant volume present in the housing settles under the influence of gravity when the torque distribution gearing is inoperative for an extended period of time. The lubricant at the first lubricant level at least partially covers the rotating element. The lubricant at the second lubricant level covers the rotating element less than at the first lubricant level.
