The present invention relates to a lubrication system (90) for a gearing (10) of a vehicle (1). The lubrication system (90) comprises a tank (50) for storing lubricant and a sump (60) for receiving lubricant from the gearing (10). The lubrication system (90) also comprises a lubrication section (40) with a gearing lubrication branch (42; 44) for supplying lubricant to at least one element of the gearing (10) for lubrication. The lubrication system (90) further comprises an electric pump (20) for selectively supplying lubricant to the lubrication section (40). Furthermore, the lubrication system (90) comprises a control valve (22) for selectively fluidly connecting the electric pump (20) to the sump (60) or the tank (50) for drawing lubricant. The present invention also relates to a method for controlling a lubrication system, a control unit, a gearing and a vehicle. |
