Abstract
This application relates to the field of display technologies, and provides a display screen brightness adjustment method, an electronic device, and a computer storage medium. The method includes: A display driver of an electronic device controls a display driver integrated circuit to refresh an image to a display screen at a refresh rate in a first queue, where the first queue is a first-type refresh rate queue or a second-type refresh rate queue; the display driver receives a dimming instruction, where the dimming instruction indicates to adjust brightness of the display screen; and in response to receiving the dimming instruction, if the first queue is the first-type refresh rate queue, the display driver controls the display driver integrated circuit to refresh an image to the display screen at a refresh rate of 60 Hz, and then controls, based on the dimming instruction, the display driver integrated circuit to adjust the brightness of the display screen; or if the first queue is the second-type refresh rate queue, the display driver controls, based on the dimming instruction, the display driver integrated circuit to adjust the brightness of the display screen. This avoids a case that dimming is synchronized with image refreshing of the DDIC due to synchronization between the dimming instruction and a TE signal without image refreshing, thereby avoiding a display flickering problem.
