Abstract

An electrical connector (100) for sealed applications includes a flange (106) defining an opening (118) surrounded by a sealing wall (120) whose inner surface engages a resilient seal of a corresponding mating connector having a mating lever. An insulative housing carrying at least one electrical terminal is received through the opening (118). One or more trunnions (124) extend from the sealing wall's outer surface and engage camming slots in the mating lever to draw the connectors together and compress the seal, thereby creating a sealed interface.
