Abstract

A rectifier stage (10), or namely a Dornbirn Rectifier, comprising a full wave rectifier (12) being supplied with an AC voltage (11), and supplying a half-bridge (14), a coupled inductor (15a), and two capacitors (13a, 13b) arranged in parallel on the supply side of the half-bridge (14), is provided. Said coupled inductor (15a) is connected between a midpoint of two switches (14a, 14b) of the half-bridge (14) and a midpoint between the two capacitors (13a, 13b), and is magnetically coupled with an inductor (15b) in a supply path of the AC voltage (11) to the rectifier (12). Said rectifier stage (10) further comprises two output terminals (16a, 16b) for supplying a rectified AC voltage, one output terminal being connected to the high potential side of the high potential switch and the other output terminal being connected to the low potential side of the low potential switch of the half-bridge.
