Abstract

Provided is a clock provision system. The clock provision system comprises an interface for coupling to a cellular network and a plurality of locally distributed nodes configured to measure reception times of entangled particles using local clocks of the plurality of distributed nodes. The clock provision system is configured to determine a time correlation of the entangled particles based on the measured reception times. The clock provision system is further configured to synchronize the local clocks of the plurality of nodes based on the determined time correlation. The clock provision system is further configured to control the interface to output at least one clock signal to the cellular network, the at least one clock signal being generated using at least one of the synchronized local clocks.
