Abstract
According to one embodiment, a method for providing communication for a mobile terminal via at least one satellite is described, comprising receiving a request to establish a communication session for a mobile terminal which is served by a serving satellite, receiving information about which identifier of an access point to a data network is associated with an identification of the serving satellite, determining a data routing component implemented in the serving satellite from the received association, assigning the determined data routing component to the mobile terminal and establishing the communication session for the mobile terminal using the assigned data routing component.
