Abstract
An electric current sensor (1) includes a shield (3) having an opening (37) for capturing a magnetic field (H) in the shield (3), the magnetic field (H) having been generated by an electric current (I) flowing through a conductor (9), a magnetic field sensor (4) that is placed at a position in the shield (3) and outputs a sensor voltage corresponding to the magnetic field (H) at the position, and a detection circuit (6) that is placed outside the shield (3) and detects the electric current (I) on the basis of the sensor voltage from the magnetic field sensor (4). The magnetic field sensor (4) includes a first magnetic field sensor (41) to detect low-frequency magnetic fields, and a second magnetic field sensor (42) to detect high-frequency magnetic fields. The first magnetic field sensor (41) is placed nearer to the opening (37) than the second magnetic field sensor (42) and the second magnetic field sensor (42) is placed farther from the opening (37) than the first magnetic field sensor (41).
