Abstract
It is described a transformer-based text-to-speech system for neural speech synthesis, which is built upon a transformer-based architecture. Compared to a conventional TSS transformer architecture, the system includes a convolutional encoder-decoder submodule (2.1) in order to generate compressed acoustic representations, C, from an audio prompt A, which allows to achieve an improved performance in what concerns the quality of the synthesized speech, W, since more precise representation of the voice signal to be cloned is captured.
