Abstract
According to one embodiment, a method for handling faults in a mobile communication system is described comprising receiving requirements of a fault handling, generating a fault handling profile based on the received requirements, wherein the fault handling profile specifies which alarms indicating faults should be handled by one or more closed control loops and a policy on how to handle the alarms by the one or more closed control loops, providing the fault management profile to an alarm handling component implementing the one or more closed control loops, wherein the alarm handling component handles alarms for which the fault management profile specifies that they should be handled according to the policy.
