Abstract

In a document conveying apparatus (2), a stop processing portion (25) executes a stop process to stop a document conveying operation by a conveying mechanism (3) in a case in which a second detection processing portion (24) determines that an amount of documents placed on the document discharge unit (22) has reached a specific amount. The stop processing portion (25), in a case in which a first detection processing portion (23) detects that no document is placed on the document discharge portion (22) when the specific job is started, limits execution of the stop process during execution of the specific job.
