Abstract
A system (100) for performing electromyography (EMG) measurements, the system comprising an EMG unit (110) for collecting electromyography data of a user, the EMG unit (110) comprising a plurality of EMG electrodes (120), one or more other sensors (130) for capturing sensor data related to a motion and/or activity of the user, a sensor data processing unit (140) being programmed for processing the captured sensor data using a muscle activity expectation model (142) for identifying specific muscles used during the motion and/or activity of the user, and the system being adapted for selecting a subset of EMG electrodes from the plurality of EMG electrodes (120), said selecting being based on the identified specific muscles.
