Abstract

An inkjet recording apparatus (10) includes a cooling device (6), a current sensing device (88), and a determination device (8c). The cooling device (6) includes a centrifugal pump (64) and a motor (64a) that drives the centrifugal pump (64). The current sensing device (88) senses a current flowing to the motor (64a). The determination device (8c) determines whether or not air entrainment and liquid leakage occur in the circulation path in the cooling device (6) by comparing the current sensed by the current sensing device (88) and a current reference range.
